A cross-section of the Jewish community and rabbonim of Silver Spring, Maryland, gathered at Chabad of Silver Spring to mark the completion of Shas by bochur Dovid Wolvovksy, son of shluchim Rabbi Berel and Chaya Wolvovksy.
The event was graced by esteemed community rabbonim, including Rabbi Aharon Lopiansky, Rosh Yeshiva of the Yeshiva of Greater Washington; Rabbi Dovid Rosenbaum, Mara D’Asra of Young Israel Shomrai Emunah; and Rabbi Michoel Frank is the Mara D’Asra of Kehilas Ohr HaTorah in Silver Spring. Each speaker highlighted the significance of completing the entire Talmud Bavli, as well as the dedication and effort required to reach such a lofty goal.
Hatomim Dovid Wolvovksy made the siyum hashas with a hadran, and his father, Rabbi Berel Wolvovksy, congratulated him and praised his effort.
The event made waves throughout the Silver Spring and Baltimore Jewish communities, raising admiration for Lubavitcher bochurim’s learning and inspiration for ambitious Torah learning.
This is absolutely incredible! We can learn so much from this young man. Even if you have 25 minute a day to learn gemara – do it!
This bochur did all this, out of seder (except for the yeshiva mesechtes). It’s really amazing
Parents are certainly proud – look at his father beaming with nachas
