In a first of its kind, a group of rabbis and shluchim from Sydney, Australia, visited Eretz Yisroel on a mission to support soldiers and residents.

Arranged by Rabbi Shua Solomon of the Vaad HaRabbonim of Sydney, the Rabbinical Council of New South Wales, the rabbis met with soldiers across the land and gave them postcards that children in Sydney had prepared, each with a message or drawing. They held a meaningful barbecue for the soldiers and helped them put on tefillin.

The shluchim visited the Kosel, where they ascended an observation point overlooking the Har Habayis. They also visited the Knesset, Hostage Square in Tel Aviv, and several other locations where they met with local residents and officials.
