Shluchim, Askonim Lead Shluchim Office Annual Fundraiser

A group of Askonim and Shluchim led by campaign chairman Reb Yosef Michelashvili are launching the annual fundraiser for the Shluchim Office.

The Shluchim Office Crowdfunding Committee penned an open letter to the Chabad community worldwide, asking you to join them in this most important effort.

Over 100 Shluchim and Chassidim have already joined and committed to donate $770 or more to the moisad’s annual fundraising campaign, and the committee is turning to all Chassidim and Shluchim around the world: Please join us with a $770 donation and support this central hub established by the Rebbe to serve the needs of Shluchim.

Dear Fellow Chassidim and Shluchim,

Over the last few years we, a group of Askonim and Shluchim led by Reb Yosef Michelashvili, our chairman, have had the merit to assist the Shluchim Office with its annual fundraising campaign, and we are honored to announce this year’s campaign, which will take place b’ezras Hashem right before Gimmel Tammuz.

In these days leading up to Gimmel Tammuz, we all seek to strengthen our hiskashrus to the Rebbe.

From the very beginning, the Rebbe told us that the mission of our generation is to prepare the world for the geula. The Rebbe’s Shluchim and their dedication to this mission on the front lines are the inspiration to all of us to redouble our efforts to get the world ready for the geula.

As Shluchim and Askonim, we see firsthand the impact of the Shluchim Office on the personal, educational and practical needs of Shluchim. In its 33 years of service, the Shluchim Office has improved the lives of Shluchim’s families and revolutionized the world of Shlichus on every level.

Over the last few months, when the world came to a standstill, the Shluchim Office responded immediately to this crisis.

Chabad schools from all over the country turned to the Shluchim Office for help through the transition to virtual classrooms. Over 200 children of Shluchim who were left without a school were welcomed with open hearts by the Nigri International Online School. The CECE (early-childhood) division of the Shluchim Office supported shluchim-run preschools around the world with curricula and at-home activities to adapt for preschool Zoom classes, and financial guidance on how to stay afloat. Thousands of Shluchim and Shluchos listened to and benefitted from the special virtual events held by the Shluchim Office with medical experts and Chabad rabbonim, who provided medical and halachic advice and answered questions on how to safely reopen Chabad Houses, Shuls and preschools.

From its inception 33 years ago, this moisad has always been devoted to their mission to serve the Rebbe’s Shluchim. They have given us the well-known Nigri International Shluchim Online School, the CECE, Friendship Circle International, and many more divisions. The Shluchim Lounge, which is freely available to Shluchim coming to Crown Heights to work, dine and relax, the free hospitality by the Shluchim House at the Ohel and the Shluchim Suites in the shchuna, the beautiful Yom Tov flyers offered free of charge over the last year, and so much more.

On Monday and Tuesday leading up to Gimmel Tammuz, June 22-23, The Shluchim Office will launch its campaign titled “Committed and Connected” to raise vital funds for their work on behalf of the Shluchim.

We, the Shluchim Office Crowdfunding Committee, turn to you, our fellow Shluchim and Chassidim: Please take this opportunity to fulfil the known hoiro’o of the Rebbe for yom hahilula Yud Shvat – to give tzedoko to a moisad of the Rebbe – by supporting the Shluchim Office campaign, the moisad that Rebbe himself established at Kinus Hashluchim 5747 for the benefit of Shluchim worldwide.

The success of this campaign is dependent on our extended family of Anash and Shluchim. On the day of the campaign, we will be picking up the phone and asking our friends and family to donate $360, $770, $1,800 or more. Please join us and reach out to two (or more) friends, and ask them to support this cause together.

You can give to the campaign RIGHT NOW by visiting TogetherforShluchim.com. Your contribution will be posted when the campaign page goes live on this Monday at 11am.

Thank you for your support of the Shluchim Office, the moisad that the Rebbe himself established for the benefit of all Shluchim.
