On Wednesday, ahead of Yud Shvat, Rabbi Mordechai Rubin, shliach in the Capital District of Upstate NY, delivered a special invocation at the New York State Senate, marking 75 years of the Rebbe’s leadership.

Rabbi Rubin, accompanied by his wife, Chana, shluchim in the Capital District and directors of the Colonie Chabad Jewish Center & Jewish life at Siena College were welcomed at the New York State Senate Building in Albany, NY. They met with NYS Senators and presented them with the popular Make Peace book containing the Rebbe’s views on shleimus haaretz.

During his talk, Rabbi Rubin highlighted the Rebbe’s call to bring light and goodness into the world. His message resonated beyond the opening prayer, as the next speaker, Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, acknowledged and built upon his words.

The special invocation was made possible through the invitation of NYS Senator Jake Ashby in appreciation of the shluchim’s impact in the capital region.
