Mrs. Sarah Rivka Geffner, a resident of Bnei Brak and sister of R’ Sholom Bruchstat of Crown Heights, passed away on Wednesday, 5 Adar, 5781.
Mrs. Sarah Rivka Geffner, a resident of Bnei Brak and sister of R’ Sholom Bruchstat of Crown Heights, passed away on Wednesday, 5 Adar, 5781.
She was 73 years old.
She was born in Germany on the 14th of Shevet 5707 to her parents Rabbi Yehoshua and Tova Bruchstat.
She married the late Rabbi Eliezer Geffner, a devoted chossid of the Viznitzer Rebbe. After their marriage, the couple settled in Bnei Brak where they raised their family.
For many years she was the cook in the home of the Viznitzer Rebbe.
She is survived by her 13 children and hundreds of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brother R’ Sholom Bruchstat of Crown Heights.
R’ Sholom Bruchstat will be sitting Shiva at his home 313 Crown St.
