R’ Leib Skoblo, a Crown Heights father and activist who led the Shmira Patrol organization, passed away on Monday 15 Cheshvan, 5784.

R’ Leib Skoblo, a Crown Heights father and activist who led the Crown Heights Shmira Patrol organization, passed away on Monday 15 Cheshvan, 5784.

He was 47 years old.

R’ Leib was a dedicated member of the Crown Heights Shmira safety patrol for over 30 years. He served as the organization’s liaison to the NYPD, working to ensure the safety of Crown Heights.

He also founded Crown Heights Chaveirim, to provide the community with emergency roadside assistance and other non-medical emergency help at home or on the road.

He was known as a generous baal Tzedaka, and was always willing to held someone in need. He was always available to offer a listening ear or a helping hand to a fellow Jew in need.

He is survived by his wife Sara Malka Skoblo (nee Schechter) and their children: Mera Friend, Shaya, Tzviki, Arele, Zalman, and Gisa.

He is also survived by his parents, Yitzchak and Ella Skoblo and siblings Zalman Skoblo, Hersh Skoblo, Fraida Boas, Rochie Levy and Gutman Skoblo.

The Levaya will take place today, passing by 770 at 1:30 pm.
