Preschool Directors on Shlichus return home empowered and recharged after three impactful days at the Chabad Early Childhood Retreat in Atlanta, Georgia.
The annual retreat is a rejuvenating experience for preschool directors to learn, connect and recharge together. Chabad Early Childhood is the international network supporting Chabad preschools on Shlichus with curriculum resources, teacher training, and more.
“The CEC Retreat was exactly what I hoped it would be, I came home feeling rejuvenated, inspired, and truly cared for,” wrote Mrs. Chana Hertzberg, from Pacific Palisades, CA. “The speakers were thoughtful and helpful, and I have already brought some of what I learned back to my school. The camaraderie, delicious food, and overall atmosphere made the experience very memorable. A heartfelt thank you to Rivky Baitelman and her team for creating such a wonderful retreat!”
The program focused on connections, between Shluchos, to the Rebbe, and to the parents and children in their care, emphasizing the role these relationships play in effective leadership and impactful Chinuch. The program included networking opportunities, delicious food, and self-care sessions.
Highlights included presentations covering topics from leadership to child development and classroom resources. Shluchos participated in round table discussions with Sara Liberow and Mrs. Dassie New and gained inspiration and encouragement from fellow Shluchos including Mrs. Dena Schusterman and Mrs. Miriam Lipskier.
“It is a tremendous Zechus to support the Rebbe’s Shluchos in providing a meaningful opportunity to connect, recharge, and return to their preschools with renewed inspiration,” shared Mrs. Rivky Baitelman, Director of Chabad Early Childhood. “During the Retreat, a Shlucha shared that the support from CEC keeps her going in her Shlichus and another Shlucha that the resources provided give her pride knowing Chabad values are woven into every lesson. Moments like these are deeply meaningful, as they affirm that we are carrying out the Rebbe’s mission.”
The beautiful retreat was made possible by a generous grant from Machne Israel, one of the three central Mosdos of Chabad Lubavitch. Chabad Early Childhood thanks Rabbi Shmaya Krinsky for facilitating this grant.
Special thanks to Rabbi Yossi and Dassie New for graciously hosting the event at Chabad Lubavitch of Georgia as well as Rabbi Eliyahu and Dena Schusterman for hosting a Dinner and Farbrengen at Chabad of Intown.
Appreciation is also extended to Co-Director of the Shluchim Office, Mrs. Bassie Shemtov, Frayde Trachtman and Shaina Shemtov for coordinating the retreat, led and directed by Mrs. Rivky Baitelman.
