The bochurim of Yeshivas Beis Shalom in Postville, Iowa, celebrated Rosh Chodesh Kislev with a three course seudas hoda’a, followed by a farbrengen that continued late into the night.

Thursday night right after ma’ariv, the bochrim from Zal and Mesivta of Yeshivas Beis Shalom went down to the dining room, for a seudas hoda’a, marking the Rebbe’s recovery in 5738, organized by the amazing dedicated shluchim.

Emceeing the event was shliach Sholom Reicher, who kicked off the event welcoming the bochurim, as they enjoyed the fish course with salad. The assembled then watched a special video presentation on Rosh Chodesh Kislev.

Then emcee then introduced the guest speaker, Chicago Shliach Rabbi Binyomin Scheiman, who addressed the bochurim. As the meat course was served, the bochurim listened to inspiring words from shliach Zalmen Nubort, followed by the emcee explaining what we can learn from Rosh Chodesh Kislev, 44 years after the events occured.

As dessert was served, Rabbi Koppel Zirkind spoke, followed by awards given to bochrim who went above and beyond in Cheshvan. Following bentching, lively dancing broke out, which then turned into farbrengen with Rabbi Shieman, continuing until the early hours of the morning.
