Pini Hazan, a Chabad bochur and son of yblch”t Rabbi Yitzchok Nachum and Mrs. Sarah Hazan, senior Shluchim to Rome, Italy, tragically passed away this week at the age of 42, following a prolonged illness. He leaves behind a legacy of quiet dedication and service to the Rebbe’s shlichus.

Pini (Elkana Pinchas) Hazan, a Chabad bochur and son of yblch”t Rabbi Yitzchok Nachum and Mrs. Sarah Hazan, senior Shluchim to Rome, Italy, tragically passed away this week at the age of 42, following a prolonged illness. He leaves behind a legacy of quiet dedication and service to the Rebbe’s shlichus.

Elkana a”h left his home already at a young age to learn at the Chabad school in Milan before continuing on in the yeshivos of Tzeirei Hashluchim, Tomchei Temimim of Brunoy, and Oholei Torah in New York. For close to two decades, he worked tirelessly at the Shluchim Office, where he assisted Shluchim around the world with humility and care. He was known for his tremendous sensitivity and dedication to the Rebbe’s inyonim.

He is survived by his parents, Rabbi Yitzchok and Sarah Hazan of Rome, Italy, and his siblings Chani Benjaminson (Providence, RI), Sholom Ber Hazan (Rome, Italy), Shmulik Hazan (Miami, FL), Etti Hazan (Crown Heights), Motti Hazan (Crown Heights), Rivky Hazan (Crown Heights), Zalmi Hazan (Miami), Mushky Lipshitz (Crown Heights), and Batya Miller (Miami, FL).

The levaya will pass by 770 on Thursday, 10 Iyar, at 2:00 PM, and will continue to the Old Montefiore Cemetery in Queens for burial.

Shiva will take place at the Avtzon home, 541 Crown St.
