The State of New York is issuing a new license plate to replace the old plates, most of which are more than 10 years old.
From now until Monday, September 2nd at 11:59 P.M., you can vote for your favorite design! The design with the most votes will become the State’s official license plate and will be available to customers beginning April 2020.
According to the NY State website:
“The torch is a symbol of enlightenment. The Statue of Liberty’s torch lights the way to freedom showing us the path to Liberty. Even the Statue’s official name represents her most important symbol “Liberty Enlightening the World.”
New York State residents can vote by clicking here. Each resident may only vote once.
