Amir and Naama Hadar have been strong supporters and friends of Chabad of Northwest New Jersey, led by Rabbi Asher and Mrs. Herson, and Chabad of Randolph, led by Rabbi Avrohom and Mrs. Bechor. Their longstanding admiration for the dedication of shluchim led them to expand their support statewide.

Rabbi Mendy Herson, who now serves as head shliach to the state of New Jersey following the passing of his father Rabbi Moshe Herson, a”h, earlier this year, shared that “the Hadars’ decades of admiration for the work of shluchim inspired them to offer support for our entire NJ shluchim-family,” and thus, “the Simcha Fund was born.”

The fund provides $1,000 following the birth of a child and $3,600 for a wedding. Applications are available through the Rabbinical College of America at rca.edu/simcha.

The initiative is being coordinated by the New Jersey Vaad HaShluchim: Rabbi Mendy Herson, Rabbi Moshe Gourarie, Rabbi Sholom Leverton, Rabbi Shalom Lubin, Rabbi Avi Richler, and Rabbi Efraim Simon.

One shliach called the initiative “amazing,” and noted how meaningful it is to see what Rabbi Mendy Herson and the Vaad are doing to support the shluchim in New Jersey.

By easing the burden of simcha expenses, the Hadar Family Simcha Fund gives shluchim one less thing to worry about as they continue their work throughout the state.
