Rabbi Mendel and Gitty Fayershteyn (nee Lipszyc) were recently appointed to join the team in Chabad Lubavitch of Fort Lauderdale as youth directors.

The Fayershteyn’s will be working out of Chabad of Fort Lauderdale, under the Leadership of Rabbi Moishe Meir Lipszyc, Head Shliach of East Fort Lauderdale for the last 31 years.

The new shluchim will focus primarily on working with teen and young Jewish professionals in the Fort Lauderdale area, as well as having a Shabbos Sessional Minyan on the Beach of Fort Fort Lauderdale.
Since 1986, over $40 million was invested in the renovation of East Fort Lauderdale, and the city has been redefined as an international center for recreation and leisure, as well as for business and culture.

Fort Lauderdale’s younger population is rapidly growing with over 7 high schools filled with Jewish teens, and with many of Jewish young professionals growing their business, and looking for networking opportunities, as well every year over 16 million tourist visits East Fort Lauderdale giving it the nickname “Venice of America”!
