Rabbi Chaim and Raizel Groner (née Cohen), together with their baby Eliyahu, will be moving out to open a Chabad House in Elk Grove, California.
Home to an award winning school district, Elk Grove is a city that provides a youthful environment where families put down roots. It boasts a bright future, and has been named the nation’s fastest-growing city.
Elk Grove has no Jewish infrastructure of its own, and the Groners plan to create a warm and welcoming home for every Jew in the city. They will be focusing on programs for young families, and hope to grow into a thriving Jewish center.
Rabbi Chaim and Raizel Groner both grew up on Shlichus; Chaim in Melbourne, Australia, and Raizel in nearby Sacramento, California. They have both been involved in outreach activities since their youth.
The Groners were appointed by Rabbi Shlomo Cunin, Head Shliach of California, and Rabbi Mendy Cohen, Shliach in Sacramento.
They are currently running a Charidy campaign to help raise the necessary funds to kick-start their Shlichus. Partner with them at Charidy.com/ElkGrove
