Rabbi Mendel and Mushky Schmukler (nee Cohen) and their 2 sons Meir and Levi, just recently moved to assume a new Shlichus position in the State of Maryland.

Appointed by Rabbi Shmuel Kaplan, the Head Shliach of Maryland, Rabbi Schmukler will be joining the administration of Mesivta Lubavitch of Baltimore.

In his new role at the Baltimore Mesivta, Rabbi Schmukler will assist with the growth of the Yeshiva and to enhance the yeshiva’s day to day operations. He will be working closely together alongside the administration led by Rabbi Zev Gopin and in conjunction with the hanhala ruchnis led by the Rosh Mesivta – Rabbi Mendel Kaminker.

Their move to Baltimore coincides with the beginning of the 30th year that Mushky’s parents Rabbi Noam and Cohava Cohen moved on Shlichus to Ocean City, Maryland. When they moved, they were the 8th couple as Maryland Shluchim. Now there are well over 50, Baruch Hashem.

Rabbi Kaplan, the head Shliach of Maryland related, “It is always gratifying to have new Shluchim, but it is even more special when it is a second generation and the children of the local Shluchim move back and continue in their parents footsteps, with the dedication to fulfilling the Rebbe’s mission.”
