Mrs. Chanah Zitelni, daughter of Rabbi Elisha Schochet, and beloved mother from Beit Shemesh, passed away on Friday night after battling an illness.

Mrs. Chanah Zitelni, a beloved mother from Beit Shemesh, passed away on Friday night, 21 Teves, 5782.

She was 48 and passed away after battling an illness.

Mrs. Zitelni was born in Toronto to her parents Rabbi Elisha and Esther Schochet. After her marriage to R’ Avrohom Mordechai Zitelni, they moved to Beit Shemesh, where they were active members of the Gerrer community.

She is survived by her parents, her husband, and children Shimon Zitelni, Bella Kutiener, Sara Zitelni, and Dov Yehuda Zitelni.

She is also survived by her siblings, Mrs. Nechama Zuchter – Toronto, Canada; Rabbi Dov Yehuda Schochet – Toronto, Canada; Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Schochet – Toronto, Canada; Rabbi Chaim Schochet – Monsey, New York; Mrs. Tova Fradel – Eretz Yisroel; Rabbi Nesanel Schochet – Johannesburg, South Africa; Rabbi Asher Schochet – Crown Heights; Rabbi Daniel Schochet – Crown Heights.

The levaya was held on Motzei Shabbos in Yerushalayim.

Rabbi Elisha and Rebetzin Schochet are sitting Shiva in Beit Shemesh and starting on Tuesday will be sitting Shiva in their home in Toronto.
