Students at Yeshiva YTTL of Montreal celebrated the 70th birthday of Rabbi Yossi Wilansky, a veteran mechanech who has nurtured generations of Montreal Tashba”r with warmth, love, and a strong chassidishe foundation.
The Yeshiva YTTL of Montreal gathered in the student shul to celebrate a momentous occasion: the 70th birthday of Rabbi YY Wilansky, a veteran mechanech who has dedicated decades to nurturing the Tashba”r of Montreal with warmth, love, and a strong chassidishe foundation.
Rabbi Wilansky’s tireless dedication has shaped the lives of hundreds of children, ensuring that their first steps in Yeshiva are filled with joy, care, and a deep connection to Torah and mitzvos. From teaching Alef Beis and the importance of making a brachah to joining talmidim on the playground slides, Rabbi Wilansky has always been a pillar of inspiration and affection for multiple generations.
In a fitting tribute to Rabbi Wilansky, the student shul resounded with the voices of talmidim reciting the 12 Pesukim with heartfelt enthusiasm. The celebration centered around Torah, Tefillah, and Tzedakah. And every talmid receiving a special birthday cupcake in Rabbi Wilansky’s honor.
The highlight of the event was hearing a few words from the birthday celebrant himself. Rabbi Wilansky shared some divrei Torah with the talmidim. Representatives from each class then presented beautifully crafted birthday cards, written by each Talmid in Yeshiva, as a token of their appreciation and love.
Special thanks go to Rabbi Menkes, Rebbi of Kitta Alef and base commander in Tzivos Hashem, for leading the joyous birthday rally!
The YTTL community joins together in bentching Rabbi Wilansky with a Shnas Hatzlacha B’Gashmius U’Beruchnius and Arichus Yomim V’Shanim Tovos. May he continue his Avodas Hakodesh with health, strength, and boundless energy for many years to come!
