Minsky Brothers Dedicate Coffee Room at Chassidus Center
The Minsky brothers of Crown Heights gathered with their father to dedicate the new ‘Kaveh Shtiebel’, a dedicated coffee room at the Mayanei Yisroel center, in memory of their mother, Mrs. Sheina Basha Minsky AH.
A small gathering took place on Wednesday in Yerushalayim to mark the inauguration of the new ‘Kaveh Shtiebel’, a dedicated coffee room at the Mayanei Yisroel center, which serves thousands of families of the Chassidus community.
The room was dedicated by philanthropist Reb Shneur Minsky of Crown Heights, together with his brothers, Rabbi Menachem Minsky and R’ Dubi Minsky, in memory of their mother, Mrs. Sheina Basha Minsky AH.
The brothers stood alongside their father, Rabbi Yaakov Minsky, a respected mechanech in Eretz Yisroel, as they dedicated the room with a traditional unveiling ceremony.
The new room will serve the hundreds of bochurim and yungeleit who pass through the building to learn Chassidus, attend shiurim, and participate in farbrengens. It provides a comfortable place to sit and refresh between programs, as well as an opportunity to continue discussions and farbreng after the formal programs conclude.
Family members and friends joined the rabbonim and mashpiim of Mayanei Yisroel, who thanked the Minsky family for their generosity and their ongoing support of the organization.
The dedication was followed by a farbrengen in the zal, where rabbonim and participants shared words of inspiration and expressed their hope that the building would continue to serve as a center for bringing more Yidden closer to Chassidus.
Mayanei Yisroel was established over 20 years ago to give thousands of Chassidim across Eretz Yisroel opportunities to learn Chassidus and connect with darkei hachassidus. Today, it operates in dozens of cities throughout Eretz Yisroel, offering regular shiurim, farbrengens, and events, along with Shabbos programs, women’s and children’s programs, trips to the Rebbe, and much more.
Three years ago, a state-of-the-art facility was built in the center of Yerushalayim. It serves as the central hub for the wider Mayanei Yisroel community, which now numbers close to 1,000 families.
