A new podcast launched by beloved mashpia Rabbi Gavriel Levin features Postville alumni from around the world sharing their memories, challenges, and life lessons from their yeshiva years. He also hosts a weekly anonymous Q&A on Yiddishkeit, Chassidus, and real-life questions, offering clear guidance on a wide range of topics.
A new podcast launched by a beloved Postville mashpia is giving a voice to the yeshiva’s alumni, now spread across the globe on shlichus, in chinuch, and other professions.
Hosted by longtime menahel and mashpia Rabbi Gavriel Levin, the podcast, called “Voices of Postville,” features candid conversations with Postville alumni as they look back at their years in yeshiva, the memories that shaped them, and the lessons they continue to carry with them today.
Rabbi Levin has guided hundreds of bochurim over the years and remains a central figure in many of their lives long after they leave yeshiva. Many alumni still turn to him for advice and direction, and credit him with helping shape them during their formative years.
In these conversations, alumni open up about both challenges and growth. One bochur describes a difficult downward spiral during his yeshiva years that eventually became a turning point, leading to personal growth and a strong professional life rooted in the values he gained in yeshiva.
Another reflects on a chaotic and challenging period in yeshiva, and how those experiences ultimately built resilience that continues to guide him today.
Alongside the podcast, Rabbi Levin also hosts a weekly Q&A session, where bochurim can anonymously submit questions on Yiddishkeit, Chassidus, and any other topic they are curious about. Known for his clarity and ability to break down even the most complicated ideas into something relatable, Rabbi Levin offers guidance that resonates with today’s bochurim.
