Despite the ongoing war in Gaza, three major Chanuka Menorah lightings were held this week at major landmarks in the holy city of Yerushalayim.

Despite the ongoing war in Gaza, three major Chanuka Menorah lightings were held this week in Yerushalayim.

Rabbi Shlomo Moshe Amar, the Chief Rabbi of Yerushalayim, lit the menorah at Kikar Tzion accompanied by shliach Rabbi Yosef Y. Slonim. Rabbi Mendel Wilhelm, shliach to Egged, was honored with lighting the menorah at the central bus station.

At the Jaffa Gate Police superintendent Shloimy Tevel lit the menorah along with Rabbi Noam Roth, director of Tzach in Yerushalayim. The evening was moderated by Rabbi Naftali Roth with musical entertainment by Rabbi Aharon Sitbon.
