London Yeshiva Ketanah Celebrates Bochurim’s Torah Growth
Concluding a remarkable year of diligent learning, talmidim of Lubavitch Yeshiva Ketanah of London marked the end of the year with siyumim on the masechtos they had learned, joined by parents, rabbonim and members of the hanholoh.
An uplifting atmosphere filled Lubavitch Yeshiva Ketanah as talmidim, parents, rabbonim and members of the hanholoh gathered to celebrate the Yeshiva’s annual end-of-year siyum and prize giving.
The evening opened with a remarkable personal achievement as Yehuda Potash completed Maseches Brochos, a masechta he learnt entirely in his own time in addition to his regular Yeshiva studies.
This was followed by Eliyohu Zavdi, who made a siyum on Maseches Makkos, celebrating the completion of the masechta learnt by his shiur throughout the year.
Later in the programme, the senior talmidim celebrated their own siyum as Tzi Vogel completed Maseches Bovo Kamma, marking another significant milestone in the Yeshiva’s limud haTorah.
Dayan Levi Yitzchok Raskin addressed the gathering with heartfelt words of chizuk, encouraging the talmidim to continue building on the solid foundations they have established and to use the coming years to grow ever stronger in Torah, yiras Shomayim and Chassidishkeit.
Every talmid received a special prize from the Menahel, Rabbi Moshe Zavdi – a copy of the newly released sefer Eleh Moadei Hashem by Rabbi Avrohom Yeshaya Raskin of Merkaz LeToras HaChassidus, providing inspiration and guidance for continued learning.
Rabbi Yehuda Pink, a member of the Hanholoh of Lubavitch Yeshiva Ketanah, delivered an inspiring address reflecting on the privilege of watching the talmidim mature over the years. Having hosted each year group for a Shabbaton at Chabad of Solihull, he spoke of witnessing first-hand their growth not only in Torah knowledge, but also in Chassidishkeit and refined middos.
Rabbi Pink expressed heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated melamdim whose devotion and care have helped shape each talmid throughout the year. As a token of gratitude, he presented every member of the teaching staff with a sefer.
Special recognition was also given to R’ Black and Ari Davila, whose leadership of the Yeshiva’s recent crowdfunding campaign helped secure the resources needed for the continued growth and success of the mosad.
Concluding the evening, Rabbi Zavdi thanked the parents for entrusting the chinuch of their sons to the Yeshiva and paid tribute to the staff whose dedication extends far beyond the classroom.
“Every blatt Gemara learned is precious, but our greatest achievement is seeing Torah become part of a bochur’s character. When talmidim leave the Yeshiva with a love for Torah, a passion for Chassidishkeit and refined middos, we know we have fulfilled our mission. May they continue to grow into true Chassidishe Yidden who will illuminate every community they enter.”
The evening served as a fitting conclusion to another successful year, celebrating not only accomplishments in learning but the continued development of the next generation of Chassidishe bochurim.
