The annual American Judaic Legal Symposium of Oregon gathers top legal minds to engage in conversation with experts in Talmudic law, comparing and contrasting the two systems of law.

This year’s symposium will be held today, at 12:00 PM Pacific Time (3:00 PM Eastern Time), and will discuss public safety and personal freedom amid a pandemic, and Jewish and secular legal and ethical perspectives.

This year’s panelists are Professor Alan Dershowitz, Felix Frankfurter professor of Law at Harvard University, and Rabbi Shlomo Yaffee, Dean of the Institute of American and Talmudic Law.
