A moving moment unfolded during the central Chof Av farbrengen in Kazakhstan, held in honor of the yahrzeit of the Rebbe’s father, Harav Levi Yitzchak Schneerson.

At the height of the evening, the master of ceremonies invited all those present who bear the name Levi Yitzchak to come up to the stage, filling it with participants named for the baal hahilula.

Among them was Levi Yitzchak ben Chana Trebnik of Ulm, Germany, who had won the special raffle held among more than 1,200 Levi Yitzchaks registered with the newly established association of those named for the Rebbe’s father. Trebnik also marked the occasion by completing a masechta and making a siyum.

The ceremony continued with the Rebbe’s shluchim from all seven cities across Kazakhstan being called to the stage one after another. Together, they represent the network of shluchim responsible for rebuilding and expanding Jewish life throughout the country.

The event concluded with Kazakhstan’s Chief Rabbi and Head Shliach, Rabbi Yeshaya Cohen, lighting a yahrzeit candle l’iluei nishmas Harav Levi Yitzchok.
