On Sunday, 11 Shvat, a special siyum and hachnosas sefer Torah took place in Crown Heights, as the Anshei Lubavitch community welcomed two new sifrei Torah into their shul. The Torahs were sponsored by members of Anshei Lubavitch in honor of the Anshei Lubavitch shul and community.

The siyum sefer Torah began with the writing of the final letters at the home of Anshei Lubavitch’s rov, Rabbi Yossi Garelik. A joyous tahalucha procession headed with the new Torahs to Anshei Lubavitch’s newly renovated shul on Albany Ave where lively hakafos were held.

A seudas mitzvah was held with community members and guests, followed by a farbrengen. Rabbi Garelik chazered a maamar, and Rabbi Avraham Shemtov, longtime shliach to Philadelphia and head of Aguch, and Rabbi Dovid Nachshon, director of Mitzvah Tanks in Eretz Yisroel, farbrenged together.
