Jewish Woman Tripped in Random Attack

A Jewish woman who was walking on the streets of Crown Heights was tripped and injured in a random attack on Thursday morning. The NYPD is investigating the incident as a possible hate crime.

A Jewish woman who was walking on the streets of Crown Heights was tripped and injured in a random attack on Thursday morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:10 AM as the female victim was walking westbound on Empire Blvd, approaching the intersection of Bedford Avenue.

According to the account the victim gave the NYPD, an unknown black male tripped her, causing her to fall and suffer minor injuries. Video obtained by Shomrim confirms that the tripping was deliberate.

The victim was taken to Maimonides Hospital for further medical evaluation, but has since been treated and discharged.

The NYPD said they are investigating the incident as a possible bias incident.
