Talmidim in Rabbi Chaim Berkowitz’s Kitah Aleph of YTTL Montreal concluded an ambitious Baal Peh contest during which they memorized pesukim from Parshas Bereishis with the teitch – by heart. The boys mastered in total over 1,300 pesukim with some knowing the entire Parshas Bereishis.
Starting from Hey Teves, the Kitah Aleph students in YTTL Montreal, in Rabbi Chaim Berkowitz’s class, embarked on an ambitious Baal Peh contest. The students learned the Pesukim of Parshas Bereishis with Teitch by heart, as well as lines from Tanya Baal Peh. Their goal was to gift the Rebbe on Yud Aleph Nissan with 1,000 Posukim of Chumash with Teitch Baal Peh and 200 lines of Tanya Baal Peh.
The contest concluded successfully on Yud Aleph Nissan, with students mastering over 1,300 Posukim with Teitch and over 220 lines of Tanya Baal Peh. Some students even learned the entire Parshas Bereishis with Teitch Baal Peh.
To celebrate, parents were invited to the classroom, where they witnessed their children’s achievements and rewarded them with Seforim prizes. A heartwarming video showcased a student who visited the Rebbe for dollars, sharing his accomplishment of learning Parshas Bereishis with Teitch Baal Peh. The Rebbe was overjoyed, giving the student extra dollars and a Brocho for success in his learning.
We’re confident the Rebbe takes great pride in the students’ Torah learning accomplishments.
