The National Committee for the Furtherance of Jewish Education (NCFJE) warmly invites the entire community to participate in the annual commemoration of the 36th yahrzeit of Rabbi Yaakov Yehuda “J.J.” Hecht ע”ה on Wednesday, July 29 (ט”ו מנחם אב). The evening will begin at 6:15 p.m. with prayers at Rabbi Hecht’s kever at the Ohel Chabad Lubavitch, located at 226-20 Francis Lewis Boulevard, Cambria Heights, NY 11411.

At 7:00 p.m., a live Siyum will be broadcast on WSNR 620 AM and streamed on Chabad.org. The program will be followed by a Seudas Siyum featuring remarks by Rabbi Shloma Majesky and Rabbi Shmuel Metzger. Community members are encouraged to join in honoring the enduring legacy of Rabbi J.J. Hecht through Torah, prayer, and reflection.

Those wishing to further commemorate Rabbi Hecht’s lifelong dedication to Jewish education are invited to support the Rabbi J.J. Hecht Memorial Fund.
