Dynamic Shliach Leaves Clearwater Inspired

One month ahead of the 30th Hilula of Gimmel Tammuz, Chabad of Clearwater and Chabad of Pinellas County held a special event to mark the occasion led by dynamic shliach Rabbi Pinny Andrusier.

On Sunday 3 Sivan, one month from the 30th Hilula of Yom Hakodosh 3 Tammuz, Chabad of Clearwater and Chabad of Pinellas County held a special event to mark the occasion.

More than 50 men and women gathered for the event which took place at the Tabacinic Chabad Center in Clearwater, Florida. After enjoying an elaborate dairy brunch, the guests made their way to the Feldman Family Shul for the formal part of the program.

Director of Chabad of Pinellas County, Rabbi Pinchas Adler opened with the recitation of the Rebbe’s Kapitel Tehillim for the safety and wellbeing of our brothers and sisters in the Holy Land, as well as the safe return of the remaining hostages.

A Shepherd’s Care, a short film by JEM highlighting the Rebbe’s attention to the needs of every individual was then shown on the big screen.

Shliach to Clearwater Rabbi Levi Hodakov then introduced the morning’s Keynote speaker, Rabbi Pinny Andrusier, a dynamic shliach and Director of Chabad of Southwest Broward, Florida.

Titled “Love & Leadership”, Rabbi Pinny inspired the attendees with his talk about the Rebbe.

During his address, Andrusier pointed out the Rebbe’s profound belief in every Jew, often more than they believe in themselves. He shared a personal story of how he never thought he was going to end up A Shliach, yet the Rebbe’s faith in him proved transformative.

Sharing humorous tales and personal experiences of his more than 32 years as Chabad’s emissary in Cooper City, Florida, Andrusier demonstrated how the Rebbe’s faith, encouragement and continuous blessings, have guided him from working out of a trailer for 30 years, to today having one of the most unique Chabad Centers in the country, a beautiful 6.5-acre lakefront campus featuring a Mikvah, Yeshiva for teens, a hotel and newly built preschool.

He closed by encouraging all in attendance to take upon themselves an extra Mitzvah in tribute to the Rebbe. Clearly moved by the message, many of the men in attendance immediately lined up following the talk to put on Tefillin with the local Shluchim.

The feedback was quick in coming. Lisa wrote: “I really enjoyed listening to Rabbi Pinny yesterday!!!” Another participant texted Hodakov, “Thank you for a wonderful event. The speaker was amazing, he made me cry.”

Chabad of Clearwater is currently running their yearly raffle with a grand prize of $10,000 and first prize, a vacation for up to 4 to beautiful Clearwater Beach. Log on to: http://3Tammuz.com to enter.
