When the Rebbe issued this request, he said it can be fulfilled for eight days… What was the request, and why is today day number eight?
Nearly every year at the farbrengen of Yud Beis Tammuz, the Rebbe would request something from the gathered chassidim.
“Please donate to the Oholei Yosef Yitzchok network of schools, named for the ba’al hageulah, the Frierdiker Rebbe.”
On each occasion, the Rebbe offered incredible brachos to those who pledged and donated, quoting Chazal that Hashem will surely pay them back many times over.
But now, Yud Beis Tammuz is over…Did you miss the opportunity for this year?
No, there is still one last chance.
One more than one occasion, the Rebbe said that the donations to Oholei Yosef Yitzchok can be given over eight days, starting from Yud Beis Tammuz, birthday of the Frierdiker Rebbe, and continuing until Yud Tes Tammuz, the day of the Frierdiker Rebbe’s bris.
So, if you didn’t yet have the opportunity, now is your chance! You can still fulfill the Rebbe’s request, and merit the brachos that the Rebbe gave each year, and surely continues to give each donor to the Oholei Yosef Yitzchok network.
Your donation will help ensure that more children in our homeland will be able to say Shma Yisroel, will learn about Shabbos and Yom Tov, and will be educated in a true Jewish environment.
Seize this last opportunity for the year!
Ensure that everyone in your family has the zechus of participating in the Rebbe’s Magbis today. As the Rebbe emphasized, everyone, including children, should donate to the Reshet in honor of Chag Hageulah and merit incredible brachos.
