As the lockdown across the country drags on and schools remained closed, some children are using their creative talent to express their humorous takes of the current situation.

One pair of sisters, Mushka and Bluma Lewis from Old Tappan, NJ, even wrote a entire children’s book making light of the situation. The book, a parody of the “I Go To” series from Hachai Publishers, is titled “Let’s Stay Home”. The book humorously addresses many of the new scenarios being dealt with at homes everywhere, such as school over Zoom, learning with PJs, and getting on your mother’s nerves.

“The book was made for a school project,” the girls’ father Rabbi Mendy Lewis told Anash.org, “but it quickly started circulating on social media.”

“We received many messages from parents saying that they had read it to their kids. Hearing that, Mushka and Bluma were just happy it was able to bring joy to so many children and adults during this time,” he said.

The book concludes with a list of other books in the “series”, such as ‘I Don’t Go to School’, ‘I Don’t Go Shopping’ and ‘I Don’t Go to Weddings’.

Editors Note: The website and email address in the book were a joke to fit with the “publishers” name but are not real.
