Mrs. Chaya Goldschmidt, AH

Mrs. Chaya Goldschmidt, a longtime resident of Nachalas Har Chabad, passed away on Wednesday, the 22nd of Teves, with her Levaya taking place later today in Eretz Yisroel towards kevurah on Har Hazeisim

She was predeceased by her husband R’ Moshe Goldschmidt.

Her father was R’ Mordechai Sirota, a Chassid known for his exceptional compassion and dedication to helping others, especially during and after World War II.  He opened his doors to countless refugees in Tashkent, providing food, shelter, and even helping them find work. He risked his own safety by hosting refugees without proper identification, often facing interrogation by the NKVD. His home also became a meeting place for Rabbonim and Mashpiim. Even after moving to Eretz Yisrael, he continued his charitable work, providing loans to those in need and encouraging mivtza tefillin.

She is survived by her children, R’ Yitzchak Goldschmidt (Kfar Chabad), R’ Shalom Goldschmidt (Kfar Chabad), Mrs. Malka Segal (Kfar Chabad), Mrs. Rochel Alperovitch (Nachalas Har Chabad), Mrs. Feiga Prus –(Lod), and Mrs. Chana Malka  (Crown Heights).

Baruch Dayan Ha’emes.
