Chassidim from around the world will be splitting all the Rebbe‘s edited sichos and ma’amarim in memory of Reb Yoel Kahn, who served as the Rebbe’s chozer for decades and worked countless hours to transcribe the Rebbe’s teachings.
The initiative was announced in middle of the international farbrengen paying tribute to Reb Yoel, the foremost teacher of Chassidus in the generation. The farbrengen, which began early Tuesday afternoon, has been running consecutively for a over 3.5 hours as of the publishing of this article.
Thousands of chassidim from around the world joined the virtual farbrengen, which was addressed by rabbonim, mashpi’im and shluchim from Eretz Yisroel, the US and Europe. Speakers related memories of Reb Yoel and paid tribute to his decades of teaching Chassidus and his dedication, toil and mesiras nefesh for the Rebbe and his teachings.
Many noted that a large percentage of the Rebbe’s Torah is only available thanks to Reb Yoel, and it would only be proper to acknowledge the great debt owed to him by all of chassidim, and indeed the entire Jewish world.
Each one of Reb Yoel’s thousands of student, and each chossid, is asked to choose one mugeh sicha out of the 1221 mugeh sichos printed in Likkutei Sichos, or one mugeh ma’amar out of 208 mugeh ma’amrim printed Sefer Hama’amarim Melukat, l’ilui nishmas Harav Yoel ben Harav Refoel Nachman Hakohen.
