Chabad UT Marks ‘Bar Mitzvah Year’

Chabad at the University of Texas, headed by Rabbi Zev and Ariela Johnson are marking their 13th year on shlichus with plans for growth and a matching campaign.

The Rohr Chabad Jewish Student Center @ UT  is a home away from home where ideas can flourish, where Jewish identity is found and enhanced, where Israel is placed at the forefront of our consciousness, and where individuals can find community and family as they are empowered to be the leaders of our future.

On a personal level, Rabbi Zev and Ariela Johnson are available 24/7 for counseling or just a welcoming friendly chat. Our students are not just friends, they are family. Our pledge is to touch the heart of every single Jewish student at UT, thus increasing their knowledge and commitment to the Jewish people and humanity.

Over the past 13 years, UT Chabad has seen a phenomenal expansion of our community. This blessing has brought along with it the challenge of managing the ever-growing responsibility to ensure that Jewish Longhorns have a home away from home. As we mark a #BarMitzvahYear for UT Chabad, this campaign to raise $210,000 in 38 hours will help secure the sustainability of UT Chabad’s future in 2020 and beyond.
