With only a few days until camp begins, Camp Gan Yisroel Montreal kicked off the summer with an impactful full-day staff training event designed to prepare counselors for a safe, professional, and Chasidishe summer experience.
The day began with all staff davening Shacharis together. This was followed by a dynamic seminar led by Rabbi Levi Feldman titled “What Great Staff Members Do Differently.” Rabbi Feldman’s session emphasized proactive camper safety, fostering positive relationships, and handling challenging situations with professionalism and care. His powerful and practical insights left a lasting impression on staff members as they prepare for their Shlichus in camp.
Afterward, staff were treated to a brunch, giving them time to recharge and connect with each other in a warm, upbeat atmosphere.
The program continued with an in-depth emergency response training by Rubi Herman, founder of Medequip, who provided crucial hands-on instruction covering how to respond to allergic reactions, choking, neck and back injuries, seizures, bleeding, fainting, and more. The session equipped staff with the tools and confidence to respond swiftly and responsibly in any medical situation.
The day concluded with each division gathering with their respective head staff to review plans, goals, and visions for what promises to be an extraordinary summer filled with growth, chayus, and Chassidishe pride.
As always, Camp Gan Yisroel Montreal is ensuring that every camper is in safe, capable hands, in a Chassidishe environment, and that every moment in camp is maximized with purpose and positivity.
