Legendary Chabad composer R’ Sholom Bruchstat, known for his many compositions in honor of the Rebbe’s birthday, composed a new niggun in honor of the Rebbe’s 120th birthday.
Ahead of the Rebbe’s 120th birthday on Yud Alef Nissan, when chassidim around the world will begin to say Kapitel 121, niggunim are being composed on the new Kapitel.
Legendary Chabad composer R’ Sholom Bruchstat, known for his many compositions in honor of the Rebbe’s birthday, also composed a new niggun in honor of the Rebbe’s 120th birthday.
Over the years, R’ Sholom had the merit of composing tens of niggunim, and many of them were chosen as the official Kapitel Niggun and sung in front of the Rebbe.
The niggun is set to words from kapitel 121 of Tehillim, which will be the Rebbe’s new kapitel starting Yud Alef Nissan. The niggun is sung by hatomim Meir Shlomo Sasonkin.
The Niggun is on the following pessukim of the new kapitel:
אֶשָּׂ֣א עֵ֭ינַי אֶל־הֶהָרִ֑ים מֵ֝אַ֗יִן יָבֹ֥א עֶזְרִֽי׃…
עֶ֭זְרִי מֵעִ֣ם ה’ עֹ֝שֵׂ֗ה שָׁמַ֥יִם וָאָֽרֶץ׃
ה’ יִשְׁמׇרְךָ֥ מִכׇּל־רָ֑ע יִ֝שְׁמֹ֗ר אֶת־נַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃
ה’ יִשְׁמׇר־צֵאתְךָ֥ וּבוֹאֶ֑ךָ מֵ֝עַתָּ֗ה וְעַד־עוֹלָֽם׃
הִנֵּ֣ה לֹֽא־יָ֭נוּם וְלֹ֣א יִישָׁ֑ן שׁ֝וֹמֵ֗ר יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
