Classmates, friends and members of anash shared stories of Meir Likhovetski at a spontaneous farbrengen that took place in his home, where his parents and siblings are sitting shivah.
The farbrengen began after ma’ariv on Thursday night, and continued until 3:00 AM, with Meir’s friends being joined by local anash and bochurim from the Toronto Zal.
Participants shared words of encouragement and stories of Meir, who had inspired so many of them. In the nearby room, Meir’s family sat listening, and they said they were very pleased the bochurim came and it was very comforting to hear stories of Meir from his friends and people that knew him so closely.
Meir touched so many! He inspired so many yet was humble and made everyone feel special. My young son knew him and felt an instant connection with him so much so that he decided to start a library in hid memory.
