Less than a year ago, the site was little more than excavated earth and concrete footings. Today, Bais Levi Yitzchok of Pomona’s new shul stands enclosed, insulated, and rapidly moving toward completion, with the community hoping to open its doors in time for Rosh Hashanah.

The project has advanced at an extraordinary pace over the past several months. From underground infrastructure and foundations to framing, roofing, windows, mechanical systems, and interior construction, what was once a vision is now unmistakably becoming a permanent home for Torah, tefillah, and community.

Construction crews are currently focused on the remaining phases needed to welcome the kehillah: completing the interior, finishing the exterior, installing the final building systems, and preparing the site and parking areas.

A series of recently released construction photos captures the remarkable transformation.

The project began with excavation and underground utilities before the foundation was poured. Soon afterward, the steel and timber framing rose, giving shape to what would become the new Bais Levi Yitzchok.

Within months, the roof, windows, and weatherproof exterior were completed, allowing work to move indoors. Today, insulation, HVAC, electrical, low-voltage systems, fire safety infrastructure, and interior framing are all well underway, bringing the building closer each day to occupancy.

Beyond simply replacing an overcrowded space, the new building has been carefully designed to serve the needs of a growing community for generations.

Architectural renderings reveal a bright, welcoming sanctuary with soaring ceilings, a dedicated women’s section, spacious learning areas, and warm natural materials throughout. Additional spaces will support shiurim, youth programming, community events, and the daily rhythm of Torah life that has characterized Bais Levi Yitzchok for nearly a decade.

On Chof Av, the yahrtzeit of Harav Levi Yitzchok Schneerson, the Rebbe repeatedly encouraged strengthening mosdos that bear his father’s name.

The Bais Levi Yitzchok community is now entering the final stretch of construction and is working toward completing the project in time for Rosh Hashanah.

As the building steadily transforms from construction site to vibrant shul, every step brings the community closer to opening the doors of a permanent home that will serve generations to come.

On the very day the Rebbe described as his “חוב והזכות גדול” to ask us to honor his father, we can answer that request by helping complete a mosad that proudly bears his name.

A gift to Bais Levi Yitzchak is more than a donation toward a building. It is participation in one of the Rebbe’s most personal hora’os.
