As Summer Nears, Learning Grows Stronger in 770 Yeshiva

As many yeshivos wind down towards the end of the year, something different is happening at 770. Bochurim continue to devote themselves to learning with a comprehensive farher and stipends for outstanding students.

Central to their daily schedule is the Yissachar Zevulun program, whose monthly study booklets have become a fixture on virtually every bench in the zal. The energy in the room is unmistakable, with real enthusiasm for learning, paired with the quiet satisfaction that comes from watching months of hard work and steady progress add up.

After rigorous study and demanding exams, the qualified bochurim were honored at a dedicated ceremony at 770, where substantial scholarships were awarded in recognition of each student’s investment and consistency.

This approach continues to deliver results. Remove financial worry, and learning flourishes. With material needs taken care of, bochurim can immerse themselves fully in nigleh and Chassidus, with the peace of mind that serious Torah study demands.

The unsung partners in this success are the donors, the Zevuluns, whose ongoing generosity keeps the program running at the level it deserves.

The mission is straightforward. Give every Tomim at Tomchei Tmimim, the central yeshiva at 770, the conditions he needs to thrive, learn without distraction, and make the most of every moment in yeshiva.

At the start of the year, five serious learning tracks were launched. At the end of each month, an exam is held, and each bochur receives a substantial scholarship award based on his score. Each bochur chooses one track, commits to it, invests in it, and is expected to truly know the material.

The tracks include learning Hemshech תרס”ו, with bochurim completing all the maamarim of Tof Reish Samech Vov over the course of the year; learning Halacha, covering all of Chelek Alef of the Alter Rebbe’s Shulchan Aruch, halacha l’maaseh; Girsa, with a daf a day, through which bochurim are expected to complete Maseches Kesubos and Moed Koton by the end of the year; learning Geula U’Moshiach, completing all of Likkutei Sichos on Geula U’Moshiach over the course of the year; and a fifth track, new this year, in which bochurim learn selected sections from Chelokim Beis, Gimmel, and Daled of the Alter Rebbe’s Shulchan Aruch, giving each bochur a comprehensive grasp of the halachos of Shabbos and all the Yomim Tovim, halacha l’maaseh.
