A new Torah was dedicated in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Lag B’omer in memory of a beloved Crown Heights Rov.

The Torah was commissioned for the “Unzer Minyan” Shul, under the leadership of Rabbi Yoiseif Baumgarten, which brings together young men from across Buenos Aires for a warm and welcoming experience.

On Lag B’omer, the shul celebrated the completion of the Sefer Torah in a modest ceremony, attended by the shul members.

The new Torah was dedicated in memory of Crown Heights Rov Aharon Yaakov Schwei a”h, and in the merit of his wife tblch”t Mrs. Rochei Schwei, with both their names embroidered on the front of the mantel.

Rabbi Baumgarten also dedicated the Torah to his grandfather Rabbi Berel Baumgarten, the first shliach to Argentina, and Rabbi Yaakov Lipa Birman.
