4,000 Teens Fired Up at Uplifting Concert and Midnight Selichos

A massive gathering was held at the International Convention Center in Yerushalayim, bringing together approximately 4,000 Jewish boys and girls for more than five hours of inspiration, entertainment and Jewish pride.

The event, organized by Chabad for Youth, the Israeli CTeen, in cooperation with the Yerushalayim Municipality, opened with a two-hour Tishrei festival spread across two halls.

Participants took part in interactive activities and special challenges centered around the Yomim Tovim, with prizes awarded for completing various missions. They also received a special Tishrei booklet and watched clips from Tishrei with the Rebbe.

Each participant was provided with a hot meat meal and a cold drink as part of the opening program.

The crowd then moved into the main hall for a large-scale concert featuring Jewish music performed by renowned and popular singers and dancers, alongside an engaging presentation about the Yomim Tovim featuring actors and live performances.

Words of inspiration were delivered by renowned lecturer Rabbi Yigal Cohen and Rabbi Moshe Shilat, director of Chabad for Youth, who spoke about the importance of strengthening one’s connection to Yiddishkeit.

A special guest was the well-known Jewish boxer Ahavat Hashem Gordon, who surprised the audience with a powerful message about the struggle with the yetzer hara. Drawing on the Alter Rebbe’s teaching about the power of zerizus and simchah, he encouraged the young participants to approach their struggles with strength, energy, and joy.

At midnight, every participant received a Selichos booklet, and the thousands gathered joined a live broadcast from the Kosel, displayed on giant screens throughout the hall.

For an hour, 4,000 boys and girls stood together and poured out their hearts in a massive communal recitation of Selichos, creating an unforgettable conclusion to an evening dedicated to bringing Jewish youth closer to Yiddishkeit and the atmosphere of Tishrei.
