The annual Bar Mitzvah celebration for 17 special-need boys was celebrated in Yerushalayim for the tenth time as part of the Bar Mitzvah Experience project by Chabad Israel Center of Rockland, New York, in collaboration with Chabad House of Nechalat Yehuda, Rishon LeZion, and Chabad House of Kiryat Motzkin, Petah Tikva.

This celebration has been continuously organized for the tenth time by the Bar Mitzvah Experience project, led by Chabad Israel Center in Rockland, New York, under the guidance of Rabbi Shneur Zalman Hadad, in collaboration with Chabad House of Nechalat Yehuda, led by Rabbi Mendy Hadad, and Chabad House of Kiryat Motzkin, Petah Tikva, led by Rabbi Yisrael Deutsch, with the assistance of the “Menachem foundation – Chamah.”

After the distribution of a set of honored tefillin and a tallit to each of the boys, a festive Torah reading took place at the Western Wall Plaza, with the participation of the boys and their families. From there, the boys continued on a tour of the Western Wall tunnels, and immediately afterward, the boys and their families traveled to the celebration around beautifully set tables in the Avazim Hall/Restaurant on the seaside in Rishon LeZion, accompanied by the orchestra of singer Yoni Shlomo.

The event was honored by the presence of former Minister of Economy and former Mayor of Jerusalem, Mr. Nir Barkat, the chief rabbi of the Kosel Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovich, and the sponsors  Mr. Arnold Rosenburg and his wife from New York.
