Rabbi Aron Lieberman of Chabad of Inverrary first met Menachem Hager more than 40 years ago, when Menachem was already in his sixties.

On Tisha B’Av, Rabbi Lieberman filmed Menachem receiving an aliya in honor of his 105th birthday, ka”h.

Menachem continues to come to shul every day and is known as one of its “candy men,” handing out sweets and giving brachos to those he encounters.

He also paints pictures of the Rebbe as a hobby.

Chazzan Yossi Lebovics called Menachem to the Torah, while gabbai Chaim Rosenstein arranged the special aliya.

“May he continue in good health and merit to greet Moshiach speedily,” Rosenstein said.
