Live: Young Professionals Unite for Historic Gathering at the Ohel

Live at 11:15 AM ET: Over 700 young Jewish professionals will gather at the Ohel, as part of the CYP Encounter Weekend, for a moving event that will be live-streamed globally by Chabad.org, offering inspiration and strength during challenging times.

For Valerya Gurevitch, the upcoming visit to the Ohel represents years of anticipation. “After sending letters for so many years, and the miracles that followed, I’m finally here,” says the young professional joining the weekend as part of the CYP delegation from Los Angeles’s Mt. Olympus. This Sunday, she will join over 700 young Jewish professionals for a powerful gathering at the Rebbe’s resting place, an event that will be live-streamed globally for all to draw strength during these challenging times.

“Now more than ever it’s important to stand together and empower one another,” says Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Executive Director of Merkos 302 and Chairman of CYP International. “With young Jewish leaders representing over 100 communities across the globe, this trip to the Ohel is an opportunity to unite and storm the heavens with heartfelt prayer.”

The gathering, part of the annual CYP Encounter weekend Shabbaton, brings together young Jewish professionals from 100 cities across the globe to unite, rejuvenate, and discover. For many past participants, visiting the Ohel has been a defining moment, with its impact lasting long after the weekend ends.

“Just as the Pegisha encounters of old gave participants the transformative experience of meeting the Rebbe, we’re creating an opportunity for today’s young professionals to have that same deeply personal experience,” explains Rabbi Beryl Frankel of CYP International at Merkos 302. “The power of those encounters continues to ripple through generations, and we’re seeing how that inspiration remains just as relevant and impactful today.”

The program will showcase three young professionals sharing their experiences at the Ohel, highlighting different aspects of connecting with the Rebbe: expressing gratitude, seeking guidance through life’s challenges, and discovering one’s deeper spiritual identity.

The event is dedicated לעילוי נשמת הרה”ח הרב משה יהודא בן הרה”ח צבי יוסף ע”ה קאטלארסקי, who spearheaded the Chabad Young Professionals International movement and will be live-streamed by Chabad.org, Sunday January 19th 11:15 AM EST, allowing Jews worldwide to participate in this meaningful gathering.
