In a video going viral on social media, a non-Jewish Uber driver shares his unbelievable miracle story that he says occurred after visiting the Rebbe’s Ohel.
The driver, who was giving a ride to Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, director of Merkos 302, after he had just visited the Ohel, shared with Rabbi Kotlarsky that this was not his first time there. In fact, he said he now visits the Ohel every single day after experiencing what he believes was a clear miracle.
The driver explained that he had been facing serious financial struggles and was overwhelmed by significant debt. Although he is not Jewish, he decided to visit the Rebbe’s Ohel because the Rebbe is a leader for everyone, and anyone can come to receive the Rebbe’s blessings.
During his visit, he said he prayed at the Ohel and poured out his heart, asking for help and guidance.
The very next day, he picked up a chossid who had also just left the Ohel. The elderly chossid, who was around 75 years old, made a strong impression on him. During the ride, the chossid asked the driver to turn off the music so he could continue davening with more concentration after leaving the Ohel.
Later that evening, after dropping off the elderly chossid, the driver stopped at a gas station to fill up his car. While there, he decided to take the opportunity to purchase a single lottery ticket. The unbelievable news soon came in.
“I played just one lottery number, and I won ten thousand five hundred dollars!” the driver shared excitedly.
The unexpected money helped him pay off his existing debts and provided the financial relief he desperately needed. The timing was not lost on him: the miracle happened just one day after his visit to the Rebbe’s Ohel.
Since then, he has made visiting the Ohel part of his daily routine. Each day, he comes to the Ohel, says a prayer from outside, and then begins his work shift.
He has also placed a picture of the Rebbe in his car, saying that he looks at it every day.
“I say hello to him every day,” he said.
When speaking about the Rebbe, the driver described him as a holy man who brings light to the world.
“He’s a light, a light for everyone, you know? Like the sun outside,” he said. “So of course I come to get his blessing every day.”
