Summer of a Lifetime, Summer for a Lifetime

Attending a Jewish overnight camp is one of the most powerful steps possible for a child’s lifelong connection to their heritage. CKids is aiming to give 800 Chabad House children the summer of a lifetime – for a lifetime.

Zachary Grayson doesn’t consider himself a practicing Jew. And yet, the esteemed former trial attorney holds his Judaism very close to his heart. He learns Torah regularly. He has amassed a library of thousands of seforim and Jewish books. He speaks with the deepest warmth about the role that Judaism has had in every aspect of his life.

Where did this all begin? “I realized just yesterday,” Mr. Grayson relayed, “that the first Jewish book I got was at overnight camp.”

Attending a Jewish overnight camp is one of the most powerful steps possible for a child’s lifelong connection to their heritage. It gets them fired up about Judaism, it gets them more involved in their local Chabad House community, it gets their entire family more connected to Torah and mitzvos, and it even makes it significantly more likely that the child will raise a Jewish family.

On Feb 19th-20th / 10-11, Adar I, CKids, is aiming to help give 800 Chabad House children the Gan Israel experience in the five CKids overnight camps for a summer of a lifetime, for a lifetime!

Are you a shliach? Does your community have a family looking to experience Jewish overnight camp? Here’s what you need to do:

1) Think about which families in your community have shown interest in going to a Jewish overnight camp.
2) Review CKids’ five camp options and see which one will be the best fit for the children.
3) Connect the family to the camp director and arrange a Zoom or a phone call by completing the form below
