The siyum on the seventh Children’s Sefer Torah will take place this Thursday, the yahrzeit of the Rebbe’s father Harav Levi Yitzchak Schneerson. The celebration will be broadcast live on Anash.org.

Final preparations are underway for the completion of the seventh Children’s Sefer Torah which will take this Thursday Chof Av, the yahrzeit of the Rebbe’s father Harav Levi Yitzchak Schneerson.
Thousands of Chassidim from all over Eretz Yisroel and beyond will participate in the grand event which will take place exactly 40 years since the Siyum of the first Torah in 5741.
The Siyum ceremony for this historic Sefer Torah will take place at the Kosel HaMaaravi in Yerushalayim on Thursday, 20 Menachem Av 5781 – July 29, 2021. The procession from the main entrance of the Kosel to the plaza will begin at 5:30 PM (Israel Time).
Writing of the final letters will take place in the Tzemach Tzedek Shul in Yerushalayim, (by invitation only).
Hakafos with singing and dancing will take place at the Western Wall Plaza from 6:00-8:30 PM. The Sefer Torah will then be carried to the Tzemach Tzedek Shul in Yerushalayim.
On Yud Alef Nissan 5741, the Rebbe announced a new initiative; A Torah should be written for children, uniting Jewish children around the world. Over the next few days, the Rebbe farbrenged another two times, urging Chassidim to sign children up for the special Torah.
Since then, seven Sifrei Torah have been completed, uniting close to two million Jewish children from every corner of the globe. And just weeks ago, organizers announced that writing on the eighth Children’s Sefer Torah is already underway.
A live broadcast will begin with the writing of the final letters of the Sefer Torah and continue throughout the evening. At the farbrengen of 15th Menachem Av 5746, several days before the completion of the second Sefer Torah, the Rebbe asked that “every chossid should take part in the completion, with his soul, his body, and his resources.”
