Rockland Senator Deepens Ties With Lubavitch Constituents
New York State Senator Bill Weber, who represents Rockland County – home to a large Anash population – made his first visit to Crown Heights, gaining a firsthand look at the heart of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement.
New York State Senator Bill Weber, who represents Rockland County—home to a large Jewish population, including many Lubavitcher families in Monsey, Pomona, and the growing Chabad community in New City, NY—made his first visit to Crown Heights, gaining a firsthand look at the heart of the worldwide Chabad-Lubavitch movement. Senator Weber’s visit held particular significance as many of his constituents are members of the Chabad community.
Hosted by the Crown Heights Republican Committee (CHRC) and local community leaders, Senator Weber toured Kingston Avenue with NYS Republican Gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman, discussing mutual issues that both our communities face regarding shelters and concerns with public safety, antisemitism, and the attacks on our Yeshivas by Albany Democrats.
Afterwards, the Senator visited 770 Eastern Parkway—Chabad-Lubavitch global headquarters, where he visited the Rebbe’s Shul, was given a tour of the World Lubavitch Communication Center (WLCC) room and the Rebbe’s Library, learning more about the history, legacy, and worldwide work of Chabad-Lubavitch and the movement’s far-reaching impact.
Senator Weber was accompanied by Monsey Askan R’ Binyomin Nezri.
Weber, whose wife and children are proudly Jewish, is a leading pro-Yeshiva and pro-Israel New York Senator supporting, advocating, sponsoring bills, and voting on legislation to benefit the statewide Jewish community. Senator Weber, a moderate Republican, has been fighting against far-left policies to help all his constituents in all Rockland County neighborhoods and communities to benefit his district.
Senator Weber is also a strong supporter of the Shluchim and Chabad Houses in his district, including in Nyack, NY, and Suffern, NY.
The visit offered Senator Weber a meaningful opportunity to experience the spiritual and cultural center of Chabad-Lubavitch firsthand and to further strengthen his relationship and deepen his understanding of a community that plays an important role not only in Crown Heights but also throughout Rockland County, where many Lubavitch families call home and ensure their voices are heard in Albany.
It also marked the beginning of what many are hopeful will be a lasting partnership between the Senator, Rockland County Askonim, and the Crown Heights community.
The Senator expressed his desire to visit the Rebbe’s Ohel at a later date.

Thank you, Rav Rosenstein, Chaver haVaad, for gracing the event. The current Va’ad has manifested its mandate from the Rebbe to be the Nassiyim of the capital city, Crown Heights. At the same place as this, 25 years ago, Governor Pataki used the opportunity and offered to invite Councilman James Davis to flip over and join the Republicans. Mr. Davis and all present smiled for all of 5 seconds. Instead, he went the route of chassidei ha-oomose in being assassinated. The handwriting is on the wall, and Jexit is going to happen, whether we are prepared or not. The place for Yidden and all Americans who love Israel is the Republican Party. G-d bless you!
