Rebbetzin Chana’s Birthday Will Be Marked With Global Challah Bake

Dedicated in honor of the birthday of Rebbetzin Chana, the annual MyShliach Challah Bake will help young Shluchos delve into the life and legacy of Rebbetzin Chana while exploring the special mitzvah of challah.

Dedicated in honor of the birthday of Rebbetzin Chana, the annual MyShliach Challah Bake will help young Shluchos delve into the life and legacy of Rebbetzin Chana while exploring the special mitzvah of challah.

In the spirit of Yomim Tovim and Yomei Dipagra, MyShliach at Merkos 302 organizes engaging programs for young shluchos to virtually connect and appreciate the significance of these special days. These extracurricular events are designed to blend meaning, camaraderie, and fun, creating memorable experiences for participants worldwide.

This year, the girls enjoyed a whole bunch of activities, including candy sushi and a Simchas Beis Hashoeva celebration during Sukkos, followed by a cozy pajama party for Chanukah. The focus now turns to the eagerly anticipated annual challah bake, an event that fosters connection, fun, and hands-on learning.

According to MyShliach Girls Programs Coordinator, Ms. Risa Brikman, “Doing hands-on activities with friends is something most children growing up in a Frum community take for granted. We try to create that fun virtually so that Young Shluchos worldwide can have that same sense of friendship even while living in remote locations.”

Scheduled in honor of Chof Ches Teves, the birthday of Rebbetzin Chana, the challah bake promises an uplifting experience. Participants will delve into the life and legacy of Rebbetzin Chana and explore the special mitzvah of challah. Interactive games, singing, and a host of activities are planned to ensure a memorable event for all participants.

What adds to the excitement is the special package sent out to participants, complete with recipe cards, a game, and a new addition to their growing Challah Bake swag collection. This year, a unique twist awaits the girls as they use part of their dough to create delicious babka, adding a sweet touch to the event.

Mrs. Meirav Boudjenah from San Diego, CA, shared last year after the Challah Bake, “Thank you so much for such a great Challah Bake; my daughter loved it! Thanks for making all these fun activities with so much toichen for the girls!”

As a gesture of connection and community, the girls will be encouraged to gift one of their challahs to a friend or neighbor, creating a ripple effect in the numerous communities that participants represent. Adding a personal touch, the girls will decorate bags with gems, ribbons, and custom stickers to be included in their packages.

The Challah Bake taking place Thursday, Rosh Chodesh Shvat, at 7 PM EST promises to be an evening of inspiration and a great opportunity for the participants to connect with fellow yaldei hashluchim while honoring the legacy of Rebbetzin Chana.
