Dr. Daniel Wuensch, a member of Anash in Miami who treated the Rebbe after the heart attack on Shemini Atzeres 5738, passed away on Tisha B’Av day.

He was 81 years old.

Dr. Wuensch was among the first physicians to treat the Rebbe during Shemini Atzeres 5738 (1977). He served for many years as President and a devoted supporter of Friends of Lubavitch of Florida and Landow Yeshiva Lubavitch Educational Center.

A true chasid and steadfast supporter of Chabad throughout the State of Florida, a tremendous baal tzedaka and chessed, Dr. Wuensch dedicated his life to strengthening Torah, education, and the Lubavitch community.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Chaya Wuensch; his sons, Ephraim (Crown Heights), Aryeh (Surfside, FL), Yossi (Yerushalayim), Mendy (Burbank, California), and Zalman (Crown Heights); and his daughter, Basya Rubashkin (Postville, Iowa).

The levaya will pass by 770 on Friday at 12:00 pm, followed by kevurah near the Ohel at 1:00 pm.
