Dozens braved severe thunderstorms caused by Hurricane Henri to welcome a new Sefer Torah into Reb Getzel Shul on Sunday afternoon.

The Torah was dedicated by Rabbi Mendel and Chanie Pinson in memory of their parents Reb Yechezkel and Menucha Vita Pinson and Reb Moshe Pinchas and Tova Gittel Weintraub.

Writing of the final letters will take place at the Pinson residence, 1315 Carroll Street, followed by a parade with music towards Reb Getzel Shul for dancing and hakafos.

Hakafos were followed by a seudas mitzvah and farbrengen.
