‘One People, One Heart’ Unites Jews from Across Washingston State

An overflowing crowd from all over Washington State attended this year’s eighth annual Jewish unity event, entitled “One People, One Heart – An Evening of Unity & Inspiration Celebrating the Teachings & Impact of the Lubavitcher Rebbe” with guest speaker Rabbi YY Jacobson.

An overflowing crowd from all over Washington State attended this year’s eighth annual Jewish unity event, entitled “One People, One Heart – An Evening of Unity & Inspiration Celebrating the Teachings & Impact of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.” 

The event was held at the Westin Hotel in Downtown Seattle in honor of the 31st anniversary of Gimmel Tammuz.

The event was hosted and organized by the Shluchim of Washington State and created and directed by Rabbi Shmuly Levitin of Chabad of Downtown Seattle.

The Master of Ceremonies was Chaya Levitin of Chabad of Downtown Seattle. The Keynote Address was delivered by Rabbi YY Jacobson, an international speaker and dean of The Yeshivah.net, with an address entitled: “UNBREAKABLE – Fostering Jewish Pride & Resilience In Turbulent Times – The Rebbe’s Guidance for Today’s World”

The powerful JEM film “What is your job description” was played to open the evening, followed by a short prayer service for the protection of the Jewish people in Eretz Yisroel and the world. 

Rabbi Sholom Ber Levitin, Head Shliach to the state of Washington, led in reciting the Rebbe’s Kapital along with words of welcome and blessing. Adam Balkani, a member of the Seattle Jewish community, led the recital of Kapital Chof for the protection of the Jewish people around the world. 

The evening opened with a social hour and mixer. 

Attendees were greatly inspired and moved by the evening, especially Rabbi Jacobson’s speech, which left people mesmerized.
